Welcome
Thanks for coming by. If you’re new here, I started my career in 2008 by writing books, four bestselling memoirs about different seasons of family life. Somewhere along the line, I started a TV show on PBS, now in its 7th season, interviewing personal heroes like Bryan Stevenson, Samantha Power, Steve Kerr and Melinda Gates. Lately, I’ve spent most of my time podcasting where I get to dig in with high IQ/EQ people like Bono and Esther Perel. I live in New York City and Bozeman, MT with my husband and, sometimes, our daughters who come in and out between college semesters.

On Tuesdays we release a long-form conversation with someone who knows something worth knowing. On Fridays, we share a short solo episode to pass along a bit of insight for the greater good and every Sunday morning we post a reading of a eulogy, toast, or speech sent in by one of our listeners.
